Our Approach

How the vision becomes reality

How Driven turns sector expertise into lasting change across mineral products and highways.

Driven Theory of Change Model

Driven creates lasting impact by building capability, influencing better decision-making and embedding systemic change across organisations and their supply chains. Through strategic advice, innovation, training and collaboration, we help organisations move from linear, short-term thinking towards circular, resilient and long-term value systems. This enables lower carbon emissions, greater resource efficiency, stronger organisational resilience and sustainable growth.

Our Duty

Delivering on Responsibility, Shaping Tomorrow

As a business, we have a duty to our team, our customers and the wider world. We are committed to:

  • driving down our energy and carbon impacts, as we believe that climate change is one of the greatest risks to our world.
  • sustainable practice that delivers efficiency, value and health for our business, our team and the wider community.
  • encouraging our customers to reduce their impact on the environment by turning awareness into action through training, education and recommending the use of more sustainable solutions.
  • engaging with our stakeholders and encouraging disclosure on climate change, biodiversity and the SDGs, including efforts to advance the underlying goals, such as those of the Paris Agreement.
  • improving environmental performance by a well-informed management attitude and a values-led culture that is both alert and responsive to the challenges and opportunities of doing business responsibly and sustainably along the value chain.

Our membership of UKGBC reflects our commitment to driving positive change across the built environment. We align with their mission to accelerate the transformation to a more sustainable, resilient, and regenerative future, values that underpin every aspect of our work.

As members of 1% for the Planet, we give 1% of our annual revenue to environmental causes each year. Recent contributions include in-kind support to The Carbon Literacy Trust, the charity behind the accreditation we deliver to our own clients to ensure the good work that they do can continue and a gift through Big Give’s match-funding programme. Where future funding goes is chosen by our associates, in order of service to the company, supporting causes from woodland and wildlife conservation to environmental education that carry personal meaning across our team.

How We Deliver

  • No generic frameworks: our approach is built around the specifics of mineral products and highways.
  • Advisory-led: Grounded in hands-on sector expertise, asphalt, pavement materials, quarrying, construction chemistry, not an imported template.
  • A network, not a fixed bench: An extensive network of experienced associates, matched to each project, scaling from a quick technical review to a multi-country programme.
  • Support that stays: Ongoing technical support, not a one-off report, we stay embedded and keep building capability.
  • Backed by research: Strong R&D relationships with universities give clients access to facilities, prototyping and feasibility studies.
  • Convening the value chain: Through partners like ITEN we bring authorities, contractors, suppliers and researchers together to turn pilots into sector standards.
