Ringway Climate Mapping

Project Description

The Climate Impact Mapping project, undertaken by The Driven Company Associates in late 2024, assessed the impact of extreme weather events on highway infrastructure. Building on the Local Climate Impacts Profile (LCLIP) approach, the project evaluated historical climate trends, vulnerabilities, and Ringway’s preparedness while integrating updated UK Climate Projection data (UKCP18) to forecast future risks. The project examined historical climate trends, vulnerabilities and future risks to develop adaptation strategies that enhance resilience. The findings support the development of proactive adaptation strategies that enhance resilience and inform highway maintenance planning.
