Project Description:
National Highways commissioned TRL to undertake a feasibility study to explore the potential adoption of Accelerated Pavement Testing (APT) to expedite the assessment and deployment of innovative pavement materials and techniques. Traditional live road trials often take between 5 to 10 years, making it difficult to meet net zero targets and introduce new materials efficiently.
Working alongside TRL, The Driven Company Associates played a key role in the stakeholder engagement process, gathering insights from material suppliers, industry bodies, and National Highways teams to assess the industry’s views on APT, its feasibility, and implementation challenges.
